IF you had a biscuit machine, you could make notices at just the 2x's. That's how I used decking for my rail caps (I bought table top mounting clips by the bulk, slipped them in to the kerfs on both sides of the horizontal support 2x4 and secured them with 5/8" #8 pan head screws). Saved a bundle over the cost of the 2" thick stuff.

If this, or a similar set up can be used to clean heat and air ducts then it would help to save lives and money.

I've been having them go out within a year. They started blowing warm air little at a time until no more, and they were new units. I think they defected them since covid😅pandemic. After all it is an agenda . Maybe faulty compressors?

NONE of these Media install videos show it being installed on a window without a bottom lip. So should I just return this unit? BTW, I have too much trim around my window for the GE.

Another good tool to use is an electric leaf blower. My Dad always thought me to take apart the metal pipes and just put them back after clearing them

You are not super cleaning the dryer, nor the line doing this. To do so you have to remove the dryer panels and clean also the inside as well as the lint stuck on the blower motor. Using the brush extension is one thing to unclog the main blockage in the pipe but doesn't clear the line properly. Use a leaf blower to complete the job and enjoy a bigger airflow increase.

So what your doing here should be routine maintenance that your average homeowner should be doing. But, to be fair, you should also be explaining how in the actual dryer cabinet, there will be much more lint and that is where the fire hazards actually exist. INSIDE the drier near the heating element. It is honestly not hard to break down your drier and give it a deep clean on the inside of the cabinet, but it is a little bit of an involved process, it takes time, and can be overwhelming to folks who are not handy. Pretty much what you should do, is find your model number, search the youtubers for a repair video showing you how to change the belt, or how to change the heating element. Use that video as a reference on how to disassemble your dryer, and then watch it backwards to put it back together.
